Achievements Sports

It is very evident from various sports achievements by our students at state as well as National Level that our students are bringing laurels school under the extensive training by their expert coaches, sports teachers and under the able guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) S. Brar. For making our students to excel in sports special coaching is being given to them from 7am -8am i.e.

One hour before start of school in various games and sports.

  • Swimming Championship

    C.B.S.E. north zone swimming championship was held at Rohtak from 12-14 Sept., 2014. In this championship our students Naseeb Dhillon class XI won a gold medal in 800 m free style stroke. He also won a gold medal in 200 m free style stroke and got silver medal in 100m free style.

    Ishwanpreet Singh of class XI got a gold medal in 200 m (butterfly stroke) Sartaj Singh of class VI won bronze medal in 100m stroke.

    Sahodaya Inter School Competition Cricket (under 12)

    It was held at DPS Ajnala Road and our school won the overall trophy amongst 18 CBSE schools. The man of match was Samarjeet Singh and best player of the tournament was Karan Kumar. Our school D.P.E. Mr. Keshav Kohli was awarded as the best coach for cricket at Sahodaya C.B.S.E. tournament.

    Table Tennis

    Punjab Board Distt Table Tennis tournament was held at Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, G T Road, Amritsar. Our school participated in boys under 19 and was emerged as winners defeating S.L. Bhawan’s and D.A.V. Sen. Sec. School in semi finals. Ankush and Karanbir have excelled in this competition and have made us proud by emerging as winner.

    Kho-Kho

    Our team was 4th in Amritsar inter school P.S.E.B. competition. Tamana, Disha, Manpreet Kaur were selected at state level.

    Gymnastic

    A sport which exhibit the flexibility and alertness of the body and soul. It is usually opted by girls who have proven to be the best gymnast so far likewise our student Priyanshu of class VII has proved to be our best gymnast and she has brought laurels to the school by grabbing gold medal at three different events. She has made the school proud by competing in the national three times.

    Gatka - Marshal Art

    Our school Gatka team participated in 4 different events and has graded the 4th position in the Punjab School District competition and has made the school proud. The prominent students of this martial art are: Rankirat Singh, Khushpreet Singh, Gurkirat Singh

    Boxing Competition

    The girls participated in boxing Punjab Inter School Distt (under 17) in Chheharta Girls School. Our school won two gold and two silver medals.
  • 1. Arshdeep Kaur of X class won gold.
  • 2. Manpreet Kaur of X class won gold.
  • 3. Sakshi of VIII class grabbed silver.
  • 4. Palakdeep of X class grabbed silver medal.
  • Our two players Arshdeep of X and Manpreet Kaur are both selected in the state level. Arshdeep also has been selected in the national level.

    District Punjab Board Cricket Tournament (under 14)

    This tournament as held at Khalsa College Senior Secondary School, Amritsar from 5th -8th Aug., 2014. The students of our school participated in Distt. North Zone defeating Cambridge International School and Prabhakar Senior Secondary School qualifying the distt. tournament.

    Football

    Our school Football team participated PSEB sports competition held at Khalsa College Sen. Sec. School and got 4th position in Amritsar.

    Rope Skipping

    A sport which makes a person healthy and fit is rope skipping. This sports activity has also been introduced at International level competitions. Our school rope skipping team participated at Guru Ram Das Sen. Sec. School. Our students Pranjal and Komalpreet Kaur participated in Under-12 category got Bronze medal. Gurpreet Kaur participated in Under-14 category and got Bronze medal. These students are also selected at State Level.
